As research for our upcoming branding program for The Chippewa of The Thames First Nation, Christine Reymer and I attended the Mount Elgin memorial event that took place this week. This was a high profile event that resonated on a national level, and featured stories, music, dance, comedy and the unveiling of a memorial designed to mark the end of the past, and the beginning of a brighter future.

Despite the heat, the event was very well attended, and being completely immersed in a whirlwind of colour, dance and music had a profound effect on me; to the extent that I’m happy to report that I had a bit of a "Eureka"moment whilst there. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to share that when the time comes.

The photo features a t-shirt that was derived from the promotional poster concept we developed for the event. Nicely executed, I think. Sporting it is Sherry Huff of Huff Media Solutions.
